Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well, bad news. Apparently I was mistaken. He did buy an adapter like that and I thought that's what he ended up using, but he said he never got it to work. He ended up buying a PCMCIA adapter which cost significantly more, but still under 179. This is what he suggested.
Almost any usb->serial adapter should work. I use this with PIC and HC11/12 dev boards/programmers and it works fine.
A buddy of mine used a cheap usb->LPT adapter like the serial one I posted for an Altera CPLD dev board with both MAX+II and Quartus successfully. Unfortunately, I can't...
Not a bad idea. I don't even know 50 people.

I can't see the pic, but I'm guessing you're asking about the places bar on the open file dialog? Download tweakUI here
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
and look under common dialogs->places bar. You can change it there.
Here's a perl script i've used for this, if you've got perl installed
http://cwashington.netreach.net/depo/view.asp?Index=716&ScriptType=perl
but change this
$strEndWAN = "<br>"; # Identify End of WAN Address
to $strEndWAN = </body>"; # Identify End of WAN Address
