Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It's funny you bring this up. I ran into the exact same problem. I have 2 XFX 6870's running in CF and they are extremely close together. The top card was hitting in excess of 90 C in Furmark. For reference I have a P8P67 Pro in a Lian Li PC-9F. I was not really sure what to do.
I installed 2...
Thank you very much folks for all the insight. On the basis of the fact that it might indicate future problems, I spoke to WD about the issue. The drive is older than 30 days, so I can't return it to the retailer. However, it only has a few hundred hours of use, and because of this, WD has not...
Interesting link, but yeah, not quite sure of the relevance. Although ZFS sounds fascinating, not quite sure how that helps me out of my current predicament. Though it does give me a potential reason to move away from WHS in the future.
Ok, I need some insight here and perhaps someone here can offer it. I had an HD go bad on my home server (a WD Green 1.5 TB was showing 1445 pending bad sectors in SMART, so I filed for an RMA). So no problems there. However this got me into a rather paranoid state of mind and so I decided to...
Funny you ask this. I just got done replacing the coolers on both of mine. I'm running 2 in SLI and I was getting temperatures in excess of 90C. My original plan was two Twin Turbo Pro's but no room since my sound card uses the bottom PCIe slot.
In short, Iwin Turbo Pro on the top card and a...
Very interesting article. I had read this yesterday, and something that really stood out to me is they claim that when using two different cards, of different speeds, that the faster is NOT down clocked to the lower speed? This is news to me and contrary to everything I've heard from people. I...
My damage was pretty bad...~$140, but a hell of a lot of games for the money...
Picked up:
Magic the Gathering: Planeswalkers Gold
Puzzle Agent 2 (Release)
Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012
Sam and Max: The Devils Playhouse
Terraria

They scale extremely well in CF, and perhaps I've just been fortunate, but I've had very, very few problems running CF. I was a little hesitant at first, but am glad I went that route.
I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Personally. I'd go with the XFX one. While I like Gigabyte, I find XFX double lifetime warranty to be a great selling point. I run two XFX 6870's in CF now (two reference cards) and they run excellent. No complaints at all.
I've always been impressed with Newegg shipping as well. Nine times out of ten, if I order something before Noon time, I'll have it the next day; worst case scenario, the day after. Of course, I'm in NY too, so their warehouse is right next door. In comparison, Amazon has always been fine for...
This might be better suited for the motherboard forums, but I figured I'd start here. I'm going to be running 2 6870's in CF, with Accelero Twin Turbo Pro coolers on them. I've read that, as a result, the cards now take up 3 slots each. Going by what I can see from various pictures, it looks...
