Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I assumed the core of the problem was going to be trying to push sustained loads of 500 watts+ through these tiny
wires and connectors, what is that 12 gauge wire they are using for power delivery? I mean it sounds like Nvidia
wants to solve a hardware problem with a software fix...
So is the prevailing theory that the contacts are not making good-enough contact between the female and male ends, which can cause micro-arcing which of course creates plasma which plastic tends to turn to goo around.......or was it the cards just trying to push too much current through too-tiny...
This is just marketing to the Pokemon Generation, that cadre who play "collectable" card games like Magic and Pokemon the way western gunslingers played poker......entirely too seriously.
I was about to post how physical media is meaningless to me, and then I looked around my immediate surroundings and see 20 grand worth of collectible garbage purchased over a lifetime for no other reason than to mostly sit wherever they are at the moment. Why? Dunno, these are 1st world...
THANK YOU.....for all the DM's and offers, and replies in this thread. You guys have some great budget rigs up for grabs.......I found a few more components on the cheap, so I'm going to respectfully rule-out pre-buillds to save on shipping and see if I can zero in on the last few components...
First thought: That ram is probably still worth something on eBay right now because 2026. Second Thought: Why would you name your box of candy....Candy. Too big to be Candy CIgarettes......thinking......Candy Gameboy. Stains on carpet, $5000 computer treated like roach motel...ok this...
Ah ok you guys selling full systems, mind sharing your "i'd like to get" price because I approached this looking for parts, but if its turn-key its going to cost more + ship but its also turn-key, so a windows license........I'm up in the NorthEast....Thank You. (DM's I'm assuming aren't...
Basically trying to spec out a 'last gen' gaming PC for entry-level gaming for a friend......I've got a 1080 Ti that can handle GPU duties for the moment, but the rest I am looking for something fading...but priced-right. I have an 8700k running at 4.8ghz that I'm holding onto, but anything...
Something about Fusion at MIT recently, and in France........AI something-something helping to keep the plasma bubble intact by manipulating the magnetic field, something they needed an AI to control and maintain in real time..........no seriously.
Haptics add immersion, but $200 controllers with "MY BUTTONS ARE TOO HARD" sounds like the kind of technology I don't want to try, so I won't ultimately miss having it. An expensive, unreliable POS controller for sure........and yet, I'd like to know moar.
..........this is not the return to "Gaming Chair Review" form I was hoping for..................but you know, solve the worlds problems, return GPU's to gamers whatever I guess that's also cool.....
The interesting part is the only people that lose in this equation............are the actual developers themselves. No doubt they'd love (well let's say most/many of them) to be able to have support resources handed to them so they could deliver solid ports to other platforms that would them...
