I dont really know what AHCI mode is. All i want to do is swap the IDE for the SATA drive. Im not really that big on tweaking out that last bit of performance or anything, i just want it to work.- Harbinger101

Upgrading Windows HDD From IDE To SATA2
Hey guys, i recently purchased a new 1TB Sata2 HDD. Now i have Windows 7 installed on a 160GB IDE HDD. What would be the easiest way to clone my original 160GB onto the new 1TB drive without having any problems once i replace it? Thanks alot.- Harbinger101

A7N8X setup/config/troubleshoot FAQ
You mean the sound crackling right? Same thing on my a7n8x-dlx. All you have to do is go into the nforce menu in start menu, and decrease the Master audio from max (just move it slighty down from max). I forget what other ones i had to do it to, Wave i think. About to buy the 9800pro All in wonder
