If HDR in far cry is not importatnt to you then id go with the ATI card. It seems to be faster than Nvidias offering in the games you state are most important...
If you double click the "rediculous preview" it goes fullscreen, making it much easier to see the changes.
As far as your "no fluff forceware"........does it still have that amazing, innovative popup blocker?
If you cant find the AA/AF settings in CCC it is your fault and nobody elses. you dont have to change settings in preview mode, its called no preview. Im pretty sure ati said they will be giving the user the option to disable the preview mode in a future driver release.
Your ignorance on Catalyst AI is amazing. It can also deliver game specific optimizations like fix bugs and shader replacement w/o loss of image quality. If you dont like the way AI works you could always click the box that says "disable AI".....its not really that hard
