I've heard the opposite, but I'm sure it depends on the type of bulb and a number of other variables. I was under the impression that the 3000hr figure meant that under perfect conditions, the bulb could last 3000hrs. I've heard of peoples l500u bulbs go out after 500 hours, and the l500u claims...
Hey plink, fellow projector buddy :D
I''m typing on my Panasonic PT-L500u at 96" right now (a very worthy competitor to the Z2), and I must say that PC games, especially Doom 3, are super fantastic.
If I had my own house I would upgrade my cheap blackout screen to a 120"+ gray/silver...
I work at a paper recycling place and we always find weird shit in the paper people throw away, but recently I found 2 HP Pavilion ze4220's and a Toshiba Satellite which I can't find a model number on.
The HP's both have smashed screens, which isn't suprising considering they got loaded into...
GTR 2002 mod is by far my favorite racing game right now, soon to be overtaken by GTR
I really need to get a wheel, and I want force feedback, but unfortunately Act Labs recently discontinued their wheel along with their sweet performance pedals and shifter. I backordered refurbs of all of...
I can highly recommend the Panasonic PT-L-500u, at $1800 if you shop around... games are beautiful, especially games that run in 16:9 resolutions (most can in some way or another)
...I'm currently typing on a 96" screen with image quality that completely blows away the nicest plasma tv, and...
I'm sorry I can't help you much on choosing a sub-$100 joystick, but I'd like to mention that I'm doing something almost EXACTLY like this, except I'm going to pour quite a bit more cash into it... not that I really have enough cash that I should be throwing it around... but it will be damn cool...
Its just a cheapo Ahanix case with a 120mm fan in front and a 92mm in back, i beleive. I usually have the fan speeds set to low too.
edit: oh and the NB cooler i ordered is the Thermalright NB-1. Before deciding to order this I didn't take into account that the Giant III video cooler will...
I've been having problems with this machine for months now and been too lazy to bother fixing it, assuming its just my windows install being full of junk. I previously had my 2.4 p4 o/c'd to 3.0 and my Sapphire 9800 n/p cranked up as far as it would go without noticable artifacts in 3dmark. At...
Its been a loooong time since I played a non-electronic game, but back in the day me and my friends used to make up all kinds of strange games when we were bored. One of the most entertaining was called Pillow Wars.
In Pillow Wars each person had 2 small throw pillows, and you attack...
I just got 3 original dual shocks on clearance at Amazon for $10 a pop, as long as you don't mind the fruity clear colors. I got the Dual Shock 2 from them for $19. Now If I could only straighten out my order from www.lik-san.com for the Joybox 5 4-port usb adapter I would have an awesome party...
78 seconds on 3ghz p4 so far, without doing the properties cheat... although it probably helped alot that I was running Milkdrops at cranked up settings, which generally rapes my cpu.
I bet i could easily hit 100... but i havent tried it without milkdrops running yet, im sure it makes a big...
