    HD Window Mod

now kids, don't get all insipired and [H]ack into your 74GB Raptor to put a window in. The slightest amount of outside material can render a hard drive useless. anyways, great mod, looks fantastic. Too bad the hard drive was on it's way out.

    Cheap case I/O panel hell

it's not gonna hurt anything if you leave it out. maybe some extra dust will get in there, but it won't be anyhting bad. I've had to leave out an I/O shield plate and there was nothing wrong with it.

How do these cards compare - just a quick question....

.....you've got it the other way around. nVidia cards do better in doom3 cause it's openGL.

    New Video Card

i second that. your 9800 pro is a fine card. If you upgrade to anything, it should be a X800XL at the lowest, but a 6800GT would be ideal. that's what I'm getting and I have the near same setup as you.

    6200 turbocache card

if you play games that render 3D graphics in real time.....no. actually, it really depends. tell us more and we'll tell ya if it'll work for what you need. http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050208/index.html

    Whats the deal?

all the previously mentioned factors and not to mention supply and demand. its the same way with SDRAM. It's usually more expensive than DDR. :p

    Overclocking and warranty.....

haha, don't we wish wish. The warrenty only holds for stock speeds (370/1000).

How do these cards compare - just a quick question....

I think the 6800GT does better in most tests/games. This is from the 16 pipelines the GT has, compared to the 12 pipes your pro has.

Any 1 know of a store that won't charge restocking Fees on Returns?

Indeed. I RMA'd a BFG cause it wasn't running correctly and I wanted a refund (usually they don't waive restock fees on refund) but the dude i talked to was really awesome and waived it for me. It's [H]ard for me not to buy from newegg :p .

$300 budget for a video card

i had the BFG 6800NU for a few weeks and it didn't perform up to par.....even in an A64 system. It also didn't unlock all the pipes, but I sent it back cause it simply wasn't getting the frames it should have. I don't think I'll go with BFG again unless I find a good deal on a 6800GT (doubtful).
