Intel Core i7 Full System Drawing @ [H]

I'm a filmmaker and I've been eyeing up an i7 build but can't afford it. This would be a good start.

Professor: Kindle is a “Poor Excuse of an Academic Tool”

The best program I used in college was MS One Note. If a nextgen version of the Kindle had the capability to use a similar program as an overlay then it would be golden.

100” TV Flush Mounted in Ceiling of Kid’s Room

    It's not a TV, it's a projector rear projected onto a screen.

Will the Xbox 720 Need Blu-ray To Succeed?

What's more important to Xbox is motion sensing controllers. Nintendo has tapped into a whole new segment of non-traditional gamers that's buying the Wii in droves. IMO the Wii is simply the best console on the market hands down and it's because of it's interactivity and family fun. Young and...

    SD cards on Wii

SDHC cards are formatted in FAT32, whereas a standard SD card is FAT16. An SDHC card can be reformatted in FAT16 and should work although I don't know how it would affect capacity. A free SD reformatting program is available from panasonic. I forgot the URL so do a google.

Large Network LED wall clock ???

I've got a SkyScan that syncs to that national radio signal. Always works and it's always right. I got a couple of them at Sam's club. It doesn't connect to my LAN, but why would someone need it to?

What changes did you make? Can you post picks of the BIOS where you made the changes? The HTPC community needs your help.

AMD Mobo that works with a Denon

I did try the other HDMI input, my receiver has 2. And I did check the settings in the BIOS. I have been on the phone with both Denon tech support and AMD tech support and neither were able to figure out why this doesn't work as advertised. The Denon rep. told me that their receivers were not...

AMD Mobo that works with a Denon

Hmmm, I have the Denon AVR888 and I cannot get audio over HDMI. I had to get a toslink cable and use the SPDIF. I'm still not sure I'm getting multichannel sound just stereo. I have the Gigabyte 780g chipset mobo with sideport mem.

If you have money, this is a nice HTPC case :-)

I do see the need for a small touchscreen on or near the HTPC case. I have my HTPC connected to a projector. If I want to play some MP3's or just do some file transferring from my living room I need to fire up the projector. Now with the touchscreen or another monitor I wouldn't need to. I...

Denon 2809 + HTPC + HDMI = No sound but Video

I'll try it and change to the other HDMI input tonight. I may have done this when I first hooked it up. I'm still not getting surround channels even though when watching HDTV the signal is Dolby Digital and the receiver also says input is Dolby Digital. I have to get out the manual to my...

Denon 2809 + HTPC + HDMI = No sound but Video

I just went through this crap too. I saw your thread over at AVSforum and posted there too. I just gave up and picked up a TOSlink cable, on sale at target. I think it's a problem with the Realtek audio chipset. I wish when these self proclaimed PC experts reviewed components and wrote about...

Electric cars are more powerful, more efficient, safer, and more reliable than a combustion engine car, not to mention much much better for the environment. Right now the range approaches 300 miles per charge, more than enough for most Americans daily commute. Do your homework.
