    Get to a command prompt and run sfc /scannow. That should fix it. If you can't get to a command prompt after a regular boot, you could try safe mode with command prompt.

    Open a command box and run tasklist /svc. Then you can find out what service it is. Once you know what it is, it shouldn't be too hard to fix.
