I've got an S panel from launch. High resolution movies look great, but if you're going lower-res be sure you sit back away from the monitor a bit. The colors are very vibrant and dark after some tweaking. I notice some black-light-bleed from the top and bottem but only in the darkness. My...

Bought that Neo-Flex stand from Stapples. It holds very well, and is muuucccchhhh better than that piece of junky plasticy slapped on by Samsung. Highly recommend it :)
Can tilt, swivel, go up and down, etc etc. I believe it can even by rotated into portrait mode but the monitor may be a...
I've had the monitor for a couple of days now, and I am enjoying it a good bit. I really need to tinker around with the colors and such a bit, but so far it looks nice. Very vibrant colors, and the brightness is top notch. No apparent input lag in games (CoD2, CSS, Supreme Commander, etc). Only...
Just for future reference, wwww.widescreengamingforum.com has a master list describing (for most games) if a game has widescreen, and if so what type it is. Very helpful to help in purchasing decisions! :)
Have a good one,
GF
That stand looks pretty cool, but according to their website it is only meant for monitors up to 20" (or recommended at least). Do you have any problems using it with this one?
I have one and you can tilt it backwards and forwards (towards and away from you). You can also swivel the base pretty well, so that you can pivot it to the left and right fairly easily. However, it does not move up and down nor can you rotate it around for a portrait type mode.
Suffice to...
The big box was beat-up quite a bit. However, the monitor box was pretty well padded and looked fine. It seems like they used a box almost 2-3x as big as the monitor's to house it. It did arrive here a day earlier than expected, but still took 10 days from the day I ordered so... but I suppose...
Another Update:
Well, seems to be working fine now. I think it just needed a chance to warm-up after a weekend or two in a cold factory in the snowy hills of West Virginia. Anyways, the monitor looks very crisp, if you're at the right resolution. By default, it stretchs out lower resolutions...
Update on my situation: Well, the problem still occurs for me; what a pain, essentially I can't go into any games without the monitor bugging out and making me wait 10 minutes and then powering it back on. Called the Samsung guys and they said its broken. Must have been the 10 days in transit, I...
Mine came in today; its an S with no apparent dead pixels upon first check.
My one problem, however, is this: it is stuck on one resolution! Whenever I change resolutions, I'll get a brief flicker of the screen at the new resolution and then the screen just goes blank. I have to then turn it...
I did the same thing you mention :( By the time it gets here, it will have been around 10-12 days since I ordered it. I don't plan on returning it; I'll at least fire it up and see how it is. I'll tell you if it was damaged at all during shipping when I finally get it (today or tomorrow).
Interesting question :)
Personally, and I'm not sure if this is "correct," but I'd take it out of the packaging and just let it sit until it was room temperature. But you may be fine plugging it in right away, hard to tell. Just feel how cold it is and use your best judgement :)
