Which version? Mainstream and high-end Xeon was never overclockable.
There may have been a workstation SKU (like Xeon E5-1600 today) that was basically the Core i7 Extreme SKU with ECC memory that was overclockable. But that is not two-socket Xeon, which is what Lutjens seems to want.

You clearly have never worked in marketing. Xeon has a "brand promise" that included rock-solid stability. Overclocking and stability don't intersect in the mind of a branding person.
HFT shops losing tons of money because of bad math on an overclocked Xeon is pretty much Intel's worst-case...
I've been super happy with my pair of Shimians. I thought about this tonight, after I ran my RC helicopter into one of them, realizing that I'm very glad I got the version with the glass. :)
Man, these things are gorgeous. I just turned them on & started using them. I'm sure there's something I should do with brightness and color balance or something, but I haven't gotten that far yet.
the resolution is omghueg though. Had to up the display scaling to 125% using the Magnifier...
I finally got my 2 monitors from dreamseller. I ordered the IPSB model, and recieved the IPSI model. The glass is inset - doesn't cover the whole front of the monitor. The monitor is marked IPSB.
I am not sure if I care or not. I'll have them mounted on the dual VESA mount later today or...
