    Wierd video distortion while gaming

    I've seen effects like that in BF2 when my card was overheating (due to a too high OC in my little shuttle). Make sure you have proper airflow and nothing is in the way of the card. I idle at around 66-68c and can push it to the 90s for games just fine.

    Well, it turned out to be a crappy CPU overclock (too much voltage I guess, since it worked better when I dropped to down to 1.4v). Anyways, 3dMark5 runs great at 418/1.13 on the 6800GT, even though it does hit the 90s while under heavy load (mostly 80s for the run)

    If you don't have your ram or cpu in, it will not POST no matter what. From what I understand, you are putting just the card in the SN25P and expecting something to show up? Nothing should, since it is not POSTing.

    That sounds really odd. Make sure all the connectors are snug, and that the wires for both connectors match (yellow in the right spot, red in the right spot). Does it work with only one connector?

It doesn't freeze in games (BF2, CS:S, WOW) but I do get artifacts in HL2 sometimes (no doubt to the overheating). Also, I my idle temps for this card are around 66c...

    It Ocs past that fine. I don't think mine came with an adapter since I just used the one that came with my card. The pci-e bus is not linked to the HTT, so you don't have to worry about locking. Make sure you use the ram divider to lower the ram speed if you OC and didn't get high quality ram!
