New motherboards for the 939s?
You will be stuck with one of the 2 boards you mentioned earlier, as the newer nforce4 boards dont support AGP which your 9800 is. So unless you willing to shell out for a new gfx card and mobo, one of your previous choices it will have to be. Im stuck in exactly the same boat as you and am...- Filthy

Now that HL2 is out...Retail or Steam? Which to buy from?
I got the retail dvd edition yesterday. Installed no prob, had no "hell" problems that you all mention. Besides it doing an update and waiting about 10mins for it to unlock, it was perfect for me. Maybe im lucky. Never the less, great game :cool:- Filthy

They gave me alot of texture corruption in nfsu2. The textures of the road and sky was disgusting, very pixelated, and no, not just upon close inspection. It was like they were totally broken. Went back to the 66.81s and problem solved. Didnt bother with benchmarks after i saw how terrible they...- Filthy

Which 6800 GT?
Well, my XFXis an excellent overclocker and comes with dual dvi if thats any worth to you. Seen quite a few people get good results from xfx cards.- Filthy

Eventually got it from aquacomputer themselves. I mailed Wiz about 2 weeks ago and still had no reply. Went direct to Aquacomputer and the delivery charge to me in the UK is only 8.99 euros, which basically is nothing. :D Oh...and the logo rawks! :cool: ( u do know he has sperm for arms...- Filthy

Stuttering since 66.93....
Im running the 4.27s on my nforce2 aswell (Shuttle XPC).. and yes, the 5.10s did bork my pc... so yes i tried them, and yes... i wasnt cool :( I would say if you can do a fresh install, with the 4.27s and the nvidia 66.81s. Both those driver sets are known to be good and bug free (so far)...- Filthy

Just placed the order for my Aquacomputer High end 240 kit incl the aquastream rev3. :p Going to be modding it into a lian-li pc-60b with i have started on in the meantime, sleeving etc etc. Will post a project log when all the kit arrives.- Filthy

Stuttering since 66.93....
If you are still using the 66.93s i had huge problems with alot of my games not rendering correctly at all. Large textures were rendered with what looked like 8 pixels in total etc....not pretty. Also had some of the stuttering problems you mentioned. Went back to the 66.81s and everything is...- Filthy

Yeah i totally agree. When the GTs first came out, loads of people were happy to be able just to push Ultra clocks, sometimes needing more volts, bios flashes etc. With the newer cards, Ultra clocks are almost a given. Wonder what has changed or they maybe just worked out some of the bugs in the...- Filthy

Sims2: Expensive Computer (project ideas)
Lol, i totally agree. This thing looks like its crying out to be moulded from carbon fibre. Would help keep the weight down abit on the screen unit, maybe allowing you a slightly less powerful / smaller servo.- Filthy
