Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Wow, had no idea he was a jetsetting around the world photographing beautiful birds(found him on Facbeook as Luis Alberto Grunauer). What a lovely all around guy. With a hobby like that still made the time pop in here and give free technical advice. He's basically saved dozens if not hundreds of...
flod you might consider listing it on r/crtgaming and/or the faceboook CRT collective group.
You could basically name your price on this one.
Too bad you have to let it go. I take it this your last CRT? Or do you still have a nice 21" one or something?
Yeah, I don't have a deep understanding of how the technology works, but to look good it would definitely need high transient luminance.
Ideally I'd like to do strobing and HDR at the same time, too. So they'd need to be running those pixels quite hard.
Agreed, based on what I read anyway. Which is why I was considering buying it from you instead of Viewsonic basically buying it back from you.
Because they'd throw it straight in a dumpster which would be a tragedy. Considering two years on we still don't have another OLED like it
The only thing ANYBODY should have said to the OP is "google this question".
This has been hashed and rehashed for 20 years now. There is nothing left to say about it
We do have GPU BFI, or a 3rd party injector for it. Called "ShaderGlass".
Doesn't work flawlessly with everything though.
But display BFI is better, as it's it's going to work as expected regardless of any frame rate issues in a game, and there's not reason it has to add input latency, I think...
before you make any rash decisions, let us know. I might even want to buy it off you, then sell my Gigabyte.
Do the BFI modes have extra input latency, to anybody's knowledge?
It's definitely no big deal when you consider the geometry and overscan of CRT's we came from.
I guess this pixel orbiting (shifting?) feature can't be turned off? Even in the service menu?
I think some other 240hz OLED monitors have had a 120hz BFI mode, just where they simply blank ever other frame at max refresh. But nothing below or above that. So not super useful.
My FO48U behaves the same way, except 120hz is its max even without BFI. Though since it's based on the CX they...
Damn I totally missed this thread and this monitor
Have there been any other OLED models in this vein? With arbitrary refresh BFI? Perhaps an updated model from Viewsonic?
Didn't even notice Hardforum had a VR section.
But yeah, I've been enjoying my PSVR2 exclusively on PC for a while.
120hz in Richard Burns Rally is terrific.
Stoked there is a 3rd party solution for eye tracking now. But we just need to see it more in games. Especially in a format that's...
I just realized I've never clicked on this thread in all the time I've been here.
And I just gotta say, especially to the people in this thread posting in the first 5-10 years..... SHAME!
If all of you hadn't abruptly switched to LCD just because text looked a bit better and the screen size...
