    To me Steam is a waste of $. 99% of the time after I finish a game I will sell it on Ebay. Can't recoup my $ by downloading the game off of steam. I did the same thing with Doom 3. Bought the game. Played it. Finished it a week later. Sold it on Ebay for a $6.00 loss @ $45.00.

    Which is a better card? - Radeon 9800SE or Radeon 9600 XT 128

    I have the 9800se w/ "L" shaped memory that softmodded just fine. It is on par with the 9600XT without the softmodd. So really it is a win/win situation. Get the 9800SE only as long as it has "L" shaped memory.

    Anyone else having issues with a Geforce 4 440 MX and Doom 3?

    Just for curiousity I removed my Radeon 9800 Pro and tried running doom on my Geforce 4 MX onboard video card and had the same results - Black specs on anything the flashlight illuminated. The game was very playable @ 640X480 Low Settings with everything turned off. Not a good card to play Doom...

    I agree, Doom 3 is a good game. Not great. The best game that I have played this year is Chronicles of Riddick on teh XBOX. The normal mapping in that game is amazing. Chronicles is a must have game.

    Turn V-Synch OFF if you notice stuttering. Make sure that AA is turned off as well.
