thats what im hoping for... its pretty shitting thing to do on card that cost 1200 bucks the cooler is more then good enough for 400w. its not like it was even the bottom of the line card. its still a 1200 buck up market card with an "OC" label even... id get if the super base 999.99 model...
end up setting with a 5080 which for most part i like so far. what i dont like is MSI didnt PUT AN WHERE on the box or web site the its lower end offerings have LOCKED power level... totall bullshit its not even base model its OC model... the fact it doesnt have at lest the same options level...
the 0 stores where in areas where there was another store with in 30min. so that makes SOME sense whats shit is them hording 67 of them in LA to look good for the streamers they could spread that out to the others to have at lest 9 or 10 and most people that wanted one could got one. only 10...
Microcenter got ~2500 US WIDE... and 233 90s 70 of which went to there LA store to impress the YTubers my store in KC got FOUR.... i was just fuck it got 5080 its upgrade not as big as id liked... but i got msrp card so ill hold on it see if 90 turns ups in month and flip it
any one on a 4090 id see no reason to upgrade unless you had the money to and just want the latest and yeah selling your 4090 you would get likely 1000 to 1200 for it. but is worth 800 to 1200 bucks for 25% faster and multi frame DLSS. same with 4080 owners.
it will data centers same thing they did with Blackwell they launched it for data centers 10~12 months before consumers. but yes we wont see a Rubin card till Q1 27 at the soonest
this. if i could find a 4090 for around 1k to 1.2k id take it but all the 4090s still out there are not at insanely inflated prices and 5080 is just not going to cut it. its wait another 2 years for another card = to the 5090 at ~1k or pay the have it now tax. Microcenter is offering 2 years 0%...
good to hear. and yeah it should do 1440p with out any need for upscaling what can do if the game offers it is use DLAA mode and get free AA in place of the upscaling. at 1440p you would been unlikely to hit vram wall on the 5080 its more of an issue at 4k.
the only issue is means water cooling FE cards is out with out some crazy $$$ blocks that have mounting for the PCIe connector and the display out boards
take the 4090. given the same offer i would. the 4090 is likely to be still 5% faster then 5080 and has more vram. the only thing lose out on multi frame DLSS frame gen which i can take or leave really

if any one is thinking of water cooling DO NOT get FE. its made up 3 PCB with ribbon cable between them
you can see the connectors here on the back of main board that connect to PCIe (larger one on the bottom) and then to the display outs (smaller...
