ArtMarshall. do you have more information on ControlSync? I could not find anything on google but it sounds cool. I do like the extra extra wide monitors.
the extra displays will not be for gaming at all. The point will be to watch changing stocks prices. So I need to just need to see chart and bar graphs.

I have an Alienware m18x and can do 3 monitors using active display port to DVI, HDMI, and VGA. Looking at:

I can add up to 6 more over USB 3.0. Has anyone done a setup like this before? any know how to get even more displays out of a laptop?
XFX has a lifetime warranty on the higher end cards as long as you register the card with in 30 days. I have used them before and there support is very good.
And then if you want to do 120Hz on a monitor you need a special DP to dual link DVI and a monitor that has dual link. Oh and that adapter runs about $100. I wish the keep everything standard.
When you go from DP to DVI there are passive and active DP to DVI adapters. When my brother did 5 monitors he needed to use the active DP to DVI adapters. At first we got the cheaper passive ones and we would only get 2 monitor to work at the same time. When we got the active adapters...
