    Looks like we're in the same boat... I'm now thinking about going a different direction from the X34 as well, 40", VA, 4K sounds pretty good - not to mention a lot cheaper... I was planning on the X34 for so long that catching up on the other options is a daunting bit of research! :eek:

    Woohoo! Took the plunge! The QH270 will be replacing my 5040x1050 Eyefinity setup. I really liked Eyefinity but it has too many downsides and the TN panels I had were crap. Looking forward to better picture quality and better performance from the ~37% resolution drop.

    I did use one pipe clamp initially because I liked the idea of rotating it - however it's not super robust - two is probably better 99% of the time. FWIW I've never rotated mine, in fact I had to add some epoxy to the pipe clamp to keep it from spinning on the pipe whenever the cat bumped it...

    I've been using 1600x1200 since Jan '01 and just recently jumped from that to 2048x1280 thanks to my new FW900, that should keep me happy for another 5 years or so...
