Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Is that color banding problem an issue on all of the 4065UCs? What about one the Seiki Pro SM40UNP?
I'm trying to do my own research but there is a lot to catch up on...
Looks like we're in the same boat... I'm now thinking about going a different direction from the X34 as well, 40", VA, 4K sounds pretty good - not to mention a lot cheaper... I was planning on the X34 for so long that catching up on the other options is a daunting bit of research!
It figures someone here would be the only other person on the planet that had the same idea as me about what to do with this stuff. Would love to try it on my Litter Robot.

Woohoo! Took the plunge!
The QH270 will be replacing my 5040x1050 Eyefinity setup. I really liked Eyefinity but it has too many downsides and the TN panels I had were crap. Looking forward to better picture quality and better performance from the ~37% resolution drop.
I did use one pipe clamp initially because I liked the idea of rotating it - however it's not super robust - two is probably better 99% of the time. FWIW I've never rotated mine, in fact I had to add some epoxy to the pipe clamp to keep it from spinning on the pipe whenever the cat bumped it...
Good work! Nice to see that kind of stand taking off. Hopefully it helps bring the crazy high prices of retail options down. I'm a big fan of the DIY option. ;)
I've been using 1600x1200 since Jan '01 and just recently jumped from that to 2048x1280 thanks to my new FW900, that should keep me happy for another 5 years or so...
I picked up mine from the lady near Detroit on Saturday and it's perfect in every way! :D I got home around 10 and stayed up until 2 or so tweaking it but I was just being obsessive, it looked great with only a minor adjustment to the convergence.
When I picked it up she had a computer...
This eBay seller has been mentioned twice in this thread (I just finished reading the whole thing, phew!) but with no follow up. The first time the screen was received DOA but we never got an update on how the return went and the 2nd time we never heard anything beyond that someone had bought...
Yep, they're all networked, the IDE cables are there to make it easier to plug the CD-ROM back in if I have to restart the client. They all booted off of notfred's folding CD generator and then I hot[un]plugged the drives...
brycejones,
I had that in mind as I set it up, I just...
