    I use Icemats Heasdet - Siberia also a very cool stuff for gaming. Especially I like the separate mic and the unusual design.

    Icemat (glass surface) is for years. Just don't forget to change the surferz and you'll have very good gliding.

    Imho will go okay. I use Icemat ver.2 surferz and the sound is really not annoying, but the gliding is just awsome.

    MX510/MX518 the best for gaming. I use MX510 and Icemat Black a very cool gaming combo.

    MX510 Also I think you could get a nice pad for MX, it really helps. I can recommend you a Steelpad Qck, it has nice price and good gliding for a clothpad.

    MX510/MX518 I vote for ergonomics. I personally use MX510 + Icemat black (for a harcore gamer it is the best pad) and i can say that this mouse is just great.

    MX518 if you are a gamer. I think I'll also get an MX518 (hope it will have no trouble wth my Icemat, an uber-pad I'm definately keeping it).

    MX1000 = Good gaming?

    No Ihmo MX1000 is good for office work but not for gaming. If you want a gaming MX get a MX518 or MX510. I use MX510 + Icemat 2nd ed (also an important thing for gaming) a very cool mouse far gaming.

    I use Icemat Surferz ver.2 imho the original pad tapes are much better. BTW I use a special set for MX mice.

    Logitech MX1000

    I also vote for the ergonomics! The mx's shape is very comfortable and as for cords, I use a steelpad "cord holder" with my MX510.
