Why did AMD take out the old custom resolution tool?
It was so easy to just grow/shrink/move a box around the screen.
I know there is CRU, but I've played with it and it's so guess-and-check.
Is there anything like the old CCC tool?
I assume I can't just install older CCC drivers on an RX 480?

Well, enabling Virtual Super Resolution did adjust the overscan on my 2160p TV (setting the pixel format to PC didn't fix it).
It did not adjust overscan on my 1080p projector.
I had to slide the HDMI Scaling bar.
But, when I changed the pixel format to PC, I had to slide the HDMI Scaling bar...
DDU did it!
I hadn't used it, before, so thanks for the tip.
I'm not sure if some old official driver was causing the problem, or the Microsoft version, but it's working.
I will note that they seem to have removed the ability to adjust overscan.
Now, they have a Virtual Super Resolution (or...
Hello, maybe you guys can help me out.
I'm on the Slow Ring of the Windows Insider program, so that could be the whole issue.
I have an MSI RX480 X 4G and all drivers, that I've tried, refuse to install.
The default Windows drivers work, just fine, but they don't allow for overscan adjustment...
The biggest question was with regard to the cooling.
Is there not a difference in the wider exhaust and 1 fan versus the narrower exhaust and 2 fans?
Are the 2 fans noticeably louder?

Hello...
I've been waiting to get an RX480 and now the market is flooded with aftermarket (IE...non-reference designs) versions.
Newegg has a couple of the new, 4GB, versions and an old, 8GB, version for similar pricing.
Just wondering on your thoughts.
It seems like the newer versions would...
The company is out of business, and has been for years.
It's just a printer utility that let's me see the ink levels.
The printer drivers only work with 32-bit Windows, so I'm stuck with Windows 7 32-bit.
This utility just only works with XP.

If it makes any difference, this looks to be my drive...
Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB Portable External Hard Drive with 200GB of Cloud Storage & Mobile Device Backup USB 3.0 - STDR2000101 (Silver)-Newegg.com...
I can say that the front USB 3.0 ports have issues, as well.
So far, the USB 3.1 port is the only one that seems 100%.
Well, the USB 2.0 ports are fine, but who wants to put an external SSD on those?
