    42" OLED MASTER THREAD

Hi there - Yeah, that works but a lot of games don't have borderless window options. I found that their are ultrawide options in the Game Optimizer menu on the TV but even with that, the results in true fullscreen are all over the place.

    42" OLED MASTER THREAD

Just got my C2 42 -- Amazing display... but have an ultrawide issue: NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti. I can set the desktop just fine to 3840x1600 at 60hz (TV resolutions) and 3840x1600 at 120hz (PC resolution) in the NVIDIA control panel with G-SYNC enabled for full screen and windowed. The desktop works...

    LG 48CX

That's correct and it's not even custom resolutions that don't work straight from HDMI 2.1 on the 3xxx series cards, it's the custom refresh rates that seem to have the issue. And you are correct, even though there is a lot to love about the CX 48, I am only interested in running at 3840x1600...

You are a rockstar kasakka! I really appreciate your prompt help! After updated my Club3D adapter to the latest, I am running 3840x1600@100hz as a test and it's working great on the 3080-- No GSYNC of course but buttery smooth compared to 60hz. I haven't been able to test the 2080 Ti yet but I...

Just got my Club3D adapter. Anyone have the latest firmware update? 3080 won't show anything out of the box...

    LG 48CX

Just tried this with the latest drivers, clean install and I even switched to the other HDMI port on my 3080 for kicks. No difference. ANY custom resolution, even 3840x2160 at a rate higher than 60hz, results in a black screen.

    LG 48CX

Right I've tried all settings I can think of trying to create any custom resolution above 60hz and it just blanks out. I've tried different scaling settings in the NVIDIA control panel including having the GPU scale and the display. It definitely isn't a bandwidth issue as it should have clearly...

    LG 48CX

Latest test results with 3080 and CX 48 with updated firmware: Full 4:4:4 chroma and 120hz 4K works like a champ - Gorgeous GSYNC also working great tested at 60, 100, 120hz - Gorgeous Still restricted on custom resolutions over 60hz in NVIDIA Control Panel. I can create 3840 x 1600 @ 60hz but...

There is a new NVIDIA driver released today that "fixes" this issue. It's keeping core clocks down under 2.1ghz more around the 2.0 ghz max range. I have a Gigabyte Eagle 3080 and no issues or stability problems even when games hit 2040mhz core. Now, to test the new CX firmware!

I agree with you and let's standardize on one blasted interface and be done with it like we did on PC devices. Everything is USB for the most part. Don't get me started on aspect ratios.. it's going to get even worse now with 16x9 vs ultrawide...

    LG 48CX

This is the exact same thing I am fighting. Not interested in running the display at 3840x2160 until PS5 comes. I want 3840x1600@120hz full time during PC gaming. I ordered a Club3D adapter to test with my 2080 Ti and 3080 but I am sure things will change (hopefully for the better) when the CX...

Happy to report my Gigabyte Eagle 3080 has shown no issues or crashes running above 2ghz for extended periods of time in multiple games. Phew!

Roger that -- Thanks for the info. Gaming at 3840x1600 @ 60hz is not bad at all by any stretch but if the display is capable of 120hz, I'd like to run at that. I'll be sure to post results between the 2080 Ti and 3080 testing for sure. Also, depending on when LG firmware hits for CX as well.

Thanks for the helpful reply! I don't have the Vizio hooked up at the same time as the CX, I've just been testing them both off and on and stunned at how good the Vizio is for the price. In fact, I had it a week before the CX and it's so surprising, it made the jump to OLED less impactful as I...

I have been trying this from the start on both HDMI 2.0 (2080 Ti) and 2.1 (3080) - Screen just goes blank on anything above 60hz for any custom res on both cards and both displays I am testing (CX 48 and Vizio 40 V)
