Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hehe, yeah, it is opposite with me, vertical it clicks, flat its been running completely fine. The bummer is that its not throwing errors in seagate's utility, so I cant warranty.
Yeah, I know I cant move it on its side, this was all done with the machine powered down. The power and sata connectors have been changed, but...I didnt try new psu or different sata port.
The thing is the same power and sata port, work when it is lying flat, only on its side does it 'click'...
Hi All,
I have a weird situation. I have a homemade Freenas Server. It has a drive that is going bad (kept dropping, and only reboot would fix).
So I decided to move it to a cooler area, and as a result, turned the tower on its side for better ventilation. However, Once this happened...
My reasoning was that its still the same locked system, I still have to log into domain etc. Its just different hardware.
Well, I guess this won't work and I will try to cope.
Heh, well, see, I dont mind having a locked down system. Everything, programs, security, will still be on the machine. I am just trying to use a different machine.
Hi Guys,
Need some technical help on this. Its a particular situation that does not seem to be addressed using google.
I work at this company that provides a company laptop. The company laptop is this beast of a 15" dell "laptop". As a company laptop, it is locked down to pretty much...
The AOC Q2770QPU is available for the same price, so I might add that to my considerations over the Asus and the Philips, its 100RMB cheaper too! thanks!
In RMB>
DELL is 4300
ASUS is 5000
PHILIPS is 3000
HKC is 1600
I don't know why the asus is more than the dell, but it is the 1440p one, PB278Q. I think I have a typo in my original post (287)
Yeah, so a friend has the PB287Q. He says it is great, but the Dell ends up being cheaper, which is why the asus was not included in my considerations.

I am currently living overseas in China, so my monitor choices are limited. But I do have options, so I wanted to ask you guys regarding some monitor choices. I used to have a 27" iMac, no fanboy, but the IPS screen was amazing to me. So for my pc I decided to go 27" as well. I...
I would look at the hinges first, I assume one of them is slightly bent, you should be able to see the damage on the outside if it had enough force to bend one of the hinges.
Although unsightly, I would also confirm that the official apple adapters work like a charm.
however, if you are looking at replacing all of them, and are a fan of iHome, just get the updated iHomes:

a fairly safe bet is to order from ifixit.com or OWC which are very reputable vendors.
Otherwise find the part and Ebay it. do you know if its not the GPU thats shattered and just the screen thats posing the problem?
