Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just bypassed my router and plugged directly into the comcast cable modem and everything worked fine, I got right onto relic online. Is my router just too old?
Yep, I ran ipconfig and my computer has the correct LAN IP that is being forwarded to the router. I've got 4 other computers on the same network, running games with port forwarding that work fine.
I'm stumped.
I set ports on my BEFSR41 Linksys to forward my IP to 6112 and 30260 yet I can't connect to those ports. (trying to play COH online) I made exceptions with Vista firewall and even tried turning it off. I'm using a free version of Avira Antivir, but don't think that's blocking it...
Would I be wasting electricity by going with a 750W psu if I'm not utilizing it to capacity?
Hmm, ok I'll take the GTX off my list, but I'm kinda leaning more towards EVGA cards because of their step-up program.
Sorry about that, this is the other RAM I was looking at...
Alright I'm going a little stir-crazy from trying to decide on things for my new system build. I haven't built a PC for a long time and I could definitely use some critiques and advice. I'm not married to any component yet (except the processor) so fire away.
My goal is for a mildly...
I can't get the next part to work now...
I'm typing in at J:\> copy J:\i386\autoexec.bat C:\windows
and its coming back saying... This system cannot find the file specified.
What am I doing wrong now?
I swear I'm not trying to be belligerent here... but I really suck at DOS, and I have gotten STUCK trying to follow their steps. I don't even know how to copy it from the XP disc?
