Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi, I have a question about something I've never seen used before in C or C++..
If you do this:
int test = (3<<2);
And then cout test, you get 12.
What does that mean? I've never seen << used in defining a variable.
Also, if you do this:
int test = (3<<2) | (5<<1);
You get 15...
Well I'm giving up because my professor gave us no information about how we could even begin to approach this problem, and I don't feel like doing things which are borderline illegal just for one question. I'll put in all my attempts though and thats probably good enough for him, he's not very...
I downloaded a program called nMap from http://insecure.org
It determines what hosts are available on the network, what services (application name and version) those hosts are offering, what operating systems (and OS versions) they are running, what type of packet filters/firewalls are in...
How can I "ID the make" from pings?

Thanks for the help so far everyone
I'm taking a networking class right now and I'm having difficulty doing something for a homework. I've done a traceroute (just for example lets say it's to www.google.com) and from that I need to select one of the switches or routers encountered along the path and determine what type of...
Ok I built a new computer for a friend and she is noticing that after a while of inactivity the computer is shutting off on its own. Of course my first thought was for her to check the power options to see if it was going into standby or hibernate but she says the only thing they had set was...
I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz and have been using it for more than a year with no problems. A week or so ago I was moving my computer to watch a movie, and then when I moved it back the next day I realized the sound wasn't working.
I checked all the speaker connections and everything...
I COMPLETELY agree with you that its a waste, it makes me sad as well. I'll try to convince them to get something better. After dropping the soundcard that does help with the budget.0
edit: I think I'll change it to a 9600XT, sound better?
So I have a friend that wanted me to put together specs of a computer so they can build it (with my help) and here's what I've got so far:

This person is not a gamer, thats why I chose the 9600 SE, so they can do some games, but they don't...
