    Comp boots to hdd only with cd

    i had that exact same problem, it would say system error, or enter boot device or something to that effect, but if the XP pro cd was in, it would boot without a hitch. Unfortunately, i fixed it by formatting. Just backup your stuff and bite the bullet ;) sorry i couldn't offer a solution...

    Well, i got them all working, I ended up taking off the converter to one of the HD's and using my last IDE Slave slot for it. It works like a charm now, but now i have to reconfigure Linux to see them :) Thanks for the comments
