Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just disconnect the lines running the exos. They close off as soon as you pop them out. I then just unscrew the connection to one of the barbs and drain the system into a bowl. It is just less hassle for me to do that then having my water block and gpu block dangling over the side.
The only bad side I see to it is if it is like the new Koolance cases. They have the 3/8 plumbing but still only use the low flow pumps like the original. So you are kind of SOL if you want to cool your GPU. Koolance does not make a GPU cooler for 3/8 plumbing and most other companys blocks are...
The Abit board is known to be picky when it comes to ram. Like I said I have the same board and I can not do 250mhz, but I was able to do it my Epox board. I dont think it is that bad of a hit for the memory to be at 400mhz vs 500mhz. I rather get the extra clocks out of the CPU.
You can try to loosen up your mem timings some and see if that helps. Try 3-5-5-11. Also I run my ddrv @ 2.80 and vcore @ 1.55. if that does not work you will probably be stuck with the 333 divider like I am. Which is not that bad since the mem controller is onboard the cpu.
I would get stable at 250 before I went any higher.
Try this. Set your FSB back to 250 and your HT to 4. Then lower your ram down to 333. with the FSB at 250 the ram will still be around 400mhz. Now to run prime and see if you are stable.
I have the same board and ram with a 3000+. My Epox...
Does the 120 fan plug into the mother board header? I had a strange problem with my latest motherboard. It is Abit AV8. Installed everything booted her up and she would shut down during post. I could not figure it out. Until i started going through the bios and noticed that that the there was a...
I have one and it works great. No problems yet. I read all the bad press on this board and others about this unit and was a little nervous with my purchase. I bought it anyway and it has worked flawlessly so far .
I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bad powersupply. Keep in mind you just added some extra load with exos. 3 fans and 2 pumps. I would check the powersupply before messing with the card. I have the same setup and know what it took to install. It would be pretty hard to screw it up.
Posted this in the other thread also, but thought way not post here also.
AMD64 3000+ (250x9) with a 6800GT (450mhz and 1.20ghz) kept cool by the little EXOS that could.
The LCD has 3 inputs on it. I use to have the 3 monitors on my desk, but it was just to much. Now i switch views with the lcd or just use remote desktop (if you look at the desktop you will see all three rigs up).
The green rig is for gaming the others are just for messing around with and...
