I almost bought the 7600X, but instead went with the 65W TDP 7600 because it came with a cooler. It wasn't going to be used for gaming at the time, in hindsight I wish I grabbed a better AM5 CPU, oh well.
The more I learn though, I still think the 7600 will be just fine. The beauty of moving my...
I've been on AM4 since it was released, I wouldn't call it bad planning at all. I've upgraded the MB once, 2x CPU's plus 2x GPU upgrades. The longest run was after upgrading to the B450, Ryzen 3600X & RX5700. I'm still rocking nearly 10yr old ram, PSU, SSD & HDD. It does have a nvme boot drive...
I'm mainly after hitting the reset button on longevity/keeping my gaming PC current and upgradeable.
The second PC is general purpose, the most strenuous things it'll do is watch YouTube & do office stuff. I'll be shopping for a GPU to put in the AM4 build on black Friday/cyber Monday. If...
If the 7600 is near equal to the 5700x3d I won't even buy a CPU yet. My performance is great, I'd be moving stuff for future-proofing. I just want to make sure there isn't a decrease in performance. There's no doubt I'll eventually upgrade the CPU but I won't rush it if it's not needed.
(and...
It should be, it's a 750W Seasonic. The AM4 build the GPU's in has a 750W Seasonic as well, just a different model. You think just try the 7600? before doing that I need to get a cheap GPU (cheapest I can find to put in the AM4 board, no gaming).
I know when I moved from a 3600X to the 5700x3d...
I have a Gigabyte X870 Eagle with the 65w Ryzen 7600 (non-X). The PC was originally for basic tasks using the integrated graphics but I'm thinking about moving the 9070 XT out of my 5700x3d build and converting that to the family PC instead.
2 questions:
-Will the 7600 be as good, I'm...
Well, it's about attacking and defending objectives #1. However, if you players who go for kills instead of playing as a team/putting that resource to use, then your team will lose every time. I love vehicles, don't get me wrong, but I love winning more!
I read if you login & watch one of the main BF6 twitch streamers for 30 min you'll get early access. I got lucky and didn't have to do that, but it's worth a shot
5700X3D, 32GB (2x16) 3200, 9070 XT
Ultra settings are smooth as can be @ 1440
Just a FYI for anybody debating an AM5 upgrade. I did the 5700X3D a while ago, well over a year. The 9070 XT just replaced a RX5700 (non-XT). This is my 3rd configuration on AM4, it's been so good to me.
My weekend has started. The BF6 beta went live for me today and I haven't stopped, and likely won't until beta weekend ends. BF6 is awesome, those looking forward to it shouldn't be disappointed. There's no server browser unfortunately, and it has the sliding around corners like COD so it isn't...
I can't wait for this weekend. I upgraded my RX 5700 (non-XT) to a 9070 XT so I'm looking forward to putting it to the test. Around a year ago I upgraded my Ryzen 3600X to a 5700X3D so it should be a good combo @ 1440. I haven't gamed in a while but have a feeling I'll get back into it with BF6...
My XT scored 7283 on 3DMark Steel Nomad dx12

I'll eventually try tweaking things to see how much I can improve it, I just haven't got around to it. I'm on PCIe Gen3 with no tweaking and finished middle of the pack so I'll take it.
