I have a Dell5 AAR (Adaptec) 2610SA/64MB 6 ports SATA RAID card. It's PCI-X, RAID LEVELS 0, 1, 5, 10 AND SIMPLE VOLUME (JBOD). LMK if it will work for you.
I yanked the HSF with cpu stuck on it so many times. Just use a flat screwdriver carefully ply the cpu off the HSF and look see if any pin missing. If not, you can just put it back to the socket and should good to go. Those cpu are pretty tough.
