Regarding Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 and compatibility with certain boards due to tall m.2 heatsinks

If it helps, they end up sending you an ARCTIC M2 Pro. Which is $5.50 on amazon for the black one, and $10 for the silver one. (in the US anyway) I ended up buying one to use for my NAS, and it works, but I really hate it.

Regarding Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 and compatibility with certain boards due to tall m.2 heatsinks

I think I described what I meant incorrectly. I wasn't referring to the tubes going into the radiator, but the tubes coming out of the pump. I ended up buying a lianli hydroshift, just havn't installed it yet, as the vibration I was hearing ended up being not my AIO, but the glass panels in my...

    What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

I'm just sad that I won't be able to say "the only upgrade I could make is to a 5090" any longer. But this thing will easily be $1,000.00 with prices the way they are.

Frame generation: a primer on why many people who have tried it out like it.

The only time I used it is with Clair Obscura Expedition 33. That game seems to be optimized rather poorly, although it is a very pretty game.

    System info....model 69?

So I noticed that in system info, my CPU is model 68. I'm curious if there is a model 69? #becausereasons In a command prompt, you can type systeminfo and it is the 15th one down from the top.

Regarding Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 and compatibility with certain boards due to tall m.2 heatsinks

I think this is the right forum...if it's not I am sorry! I need to replace my existing AIO but the one I would like to use (Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360) has the tubes pointing down, and the heatsink that my motherboard uses (gigatebyte x670e extreme) is too tall. Arctic has two...

Star Citizen - media blowout, Chris Robert's new game

Yeah. I remember when I bought a 1080GTX right at release my cousin told me, "You can play Star Citizen". I did buy a ship and checked it out for about 20 minutes. Here I am now, and that scam is still going on.

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Performance, Overclocking and Cooling Thread

Yeah I think so. The only reason I can imagine why that exists is because the 7950x3d didn't handle the core parking very well, where 9950x3d's don't have that issue if everything is set right with the driver, game bar being installed, and power profile set to balanced. Or just marketing bs...

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Performance, Overclocking and Cooling Thread

Just got mine yesterday! Let's just say I was a little confused by the message that my motherboard kicked out when I installed it. It was something about "an x3d chip is detected, do you wish to enable x3d turbo mode?" As I was upgrading from a 7800x3d I was like...uhm, ok sure, but you...

Any Zen 3 users holding out for Zen 6?

Everything I have read strongly points to AM5 not being replaced until after 2027. (And then you have the standard cooling off period where you decide if the new stuff is worth it yet) Personally I'd recommend a x650 or x670 board and to bite the bullet now, assuming you can get a cpu for msrp

Best setup for 2 gen5 drives and gameplay recording/editting

Cool cool. For simplicity, I think I'm just going to keep windows and games installed on the t700, and will set the t705 for where my recordings are saved, and where I do all my editing on. Cheers!

Best setup for 2 gen5 drives and gameplay recording/editting

So I'm doing a few upgrades to my PC this week. I got a great deal on a crucial 4tb T705 nvme, and I also have a 9950x3d arriving Thursday! Wooo! Here's my silly question: Currently, my c: drive is on a crucial t700. I'm pretty happy with it. My usage case is mostly gaming, and I do...

    DOOM: The Dark Ages

You'll be alright, we have pretty comparable systems. It should run great for you even without using DLSS. The graphics settings on auto will be fine, and you could probably even tweak a few higher than auto and not even notice it. In fact, waiting for the next update might even be a good...

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Performance, Overclocking and Cooling Thread

I almost went to Microcenter a couple times in the last month or so to pick up a 9950x3d since they had some in stock...but on days that I actually was able to go, they didn't. For the first time, I saw them on amazon at msrp so I placed an order. Amazon said it will take a week to arrive...

New X3D BIOS Rolling Out - ASUS, ASRock, More (AM5, X670/B650)

I've been using B since the day after it launched. I'm not qualified to review a bios update (not by a long shot) but nothing blew up! Don't forget to disable the option to download gigabyte stuff though! lol
