yeah, it is because when i tapped off the weather stripping used to keep the side from vibrating,i could not get it to come off without removing the weather stripping. so i need to replace it with some black weather stripping

i don't think it will make much of a difference so long as air is moving though the heatsink, and the fans are not fighting each other.
it is drawing air from the front of the case though the heatsink and then out the back so all the air is moving in the same direction.
