    I'm using Solaris 11 Express, I'm not sure which controller, I have an HP Microserver N36L, using modified bios so I can use all sata ports, including esata, at full speed. They are all onboard on the AMD chipset. Looking at the get-disk-smart.pl I believe this is the command it is running...

    Seasonic X-1250 vs Plat 1000. Better value?

    I cancelled my order for the Platinum-1000 once I saw the X-1250 was available. I paid less and should be just as quiet as the 1000 with better "future proofing" as you put it. The XFX Pro 1250w black edition, from what I understand, is the same unit. Here are a couple reviews...
