Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Here's the deal. With Vsynch enabled, if the game can't display at 60 fps, it will display first at .5 (50%) of your monitor refresh rate; if it can't display that, it will display at 1/3 (33%) of your monitor refresh rate; then 25%, and so on.
So, if you play with Vsynch set to ON -- which...
Okay, I see all these posts about "hell knights" and "pinky" and "cacodemons" and "imps".
I played Doom along time ago -- I'm now playing Doom3. No where do I recall seeing a list or guide as to the names of the various creatures encountered.

We have a similar setup (RAM wise and video card-wise). I also have the 5900 xt (1 gig of RAM). But a P4 2.6 ghz CPU.
The door lag in the beginning seemed to be caused by the little android moving to its location. That went away for me after I looked at the com_videoram settings. For some...

AF setting for me is the Doom3 default of 8. Game defaults to that at high quality. Nvidia is set to let application decide.
With the latest MSI drivers (61.22), compared to Nvidia 61.77 -- I gained almost 50% with the latest Nvida.
My monitor handles 100 hz at 1024 x 768 --not sure about resolutions above that though.
I have this one:
