Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yes, Silverlight bashing being the new "What? QuickTime? Forget it" is just ridiculous. Hardly could expect Microsoft to use Flash on their own website.
Her line "guess I'm not cool enough..." sounded scripted and seemed used to purposely thicken the division line based on "hip" factor when the line should've been, "...guess I'm not rich enough to be a Mac person." That would've struck home the point far better imho.
I have 8 GB of DDR3 1333 (2 GB x 4), same manufacturer, same model number, same timings, all 1.5v. Any potential issues I might run into with using 3 of the sticks as triple-channel for a non-overclocked Nehalem build?
I clean installed it again early this morning, and I guess I somehow either didn't seem them, or fast-clicked through the real-time spy/malware scanning options last time. I unchecked all of those components as a test, and blamo, the "snappiness" returned.
I'm an Avira Premium user, but man, the new version 9 (clean installed) seems to have gained quite a few pounds in terms of system impact. There was never any appreciable slowdown or stutter with version 8, but just dragging a window around is choppy since installing 9.
Anyone else...
