Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It's hard to find the source of the problem when you build a whole new system, as opposed to just upgrading your old PC, can't narrow it down to one hardware change.
I have the 2T timing on auto, so I am not totally sure what its doing. The FSB is a 240MHz and 2.5-3-3-7 was as low as I could get it without problems. To tell you the truth I am not real happy with this Gigabyte board anyway, it's not a good overclocker at all. The memory is only one stick...
Well my PC is in my sig but I have 512mb Corsair Xtra Low Latency PC3200 that is at 2.5-3-3-7 for overclocking purposes.
My Everest scores are:
3575mbs for Read
1318mbs for Write
48.5ns for Latency
So those scores seam low to anyone else?
Does the stuttering problem with Half Life 2 happen more on AMD systems than with Intel?
My old PC was a P4 2.4GHz with a ATI 9700 Pro and I never had stuttering problems.
My new PC is an AMD 64 2.0GHz Winchester 939 with a Gigabyte 6600gt and I have the stuttering problems bad, but better...
somebody has probably already said this but oh well, Good thing you are building it in the room it's going to stay in otherwise you would have to knock down a wall to move it in
Man that looks like something straight out of Colin Mcrae Rally 2005! I couldn't resist ripping down that road as fast as I could in my little shit box Fiesta!
So far I like the case. You can't tell in the picture but I pulled out the single LED in the front panel and replaced it with a triple LED. He won't be able to get one the same colors as this one though since I anodized the front panels. The fans are pretty quiet, and there is alot of room in...
The anodizing was free because I work at a metal finishing plant, I just had a buddy do it for me. I think it took him about 45 minutes to do it but he might have been screwing off:p
Damn yahoo pictures, I don't know if this one will work. What photo service do you guys use? and why do my photos show up as links instead of putting in the picture? Does it still not work if you copy and paste the link?
