    don't wanna blow away my vista install, so here are some write benchmarks from atto. tweaking I did was to dramatically change the stripe size (from default 128K down to 8K) and enable the volume write cache in the intel storage manager.

    i haven't done any tuning or config changes yet, that was a quick and dirty bench. This is on a ICH9R -- unfortunately I don't have a high-end raid card to test with. will try to do more comprehensive testing this evening.
