Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Good day everyone,
I hate to bug you all with this but I figured I needed other opinions and thoughts.
Recently my GFs MB blew so we ordered a new one to replace it. Unfortunately the original one wasn't available so we did a little upgrade. I got the MB loaded in last night, everything...
I've got a slightly odd issue with a DVD/CDRW drive (NEC ND-2100AD). The PC is running WinXP SP2 and recognizes the drive, but when I insert a CD (of any kind, application, music, ect.) it acts like it's reading and doing what it's supposed to do but never does anything. Plus when I double click...
Ok, heres my dilemma, I think my previous MB (A GA-7ZMMH) might be going bad. Im not sure if it is or the RAM. However I tested the RAM and it seemed fine. So for fun I have a Tyan S2390 MB a friend gave me. So I swapped them both out last night.
This was my first MB swap (yea for me!) and...
Ok, here's one for you all, We've got a dead Sun 5500 Enterprise server at work and we are talking about making a fridge out of it. We've heard there is an actual kit for this and have been trying to locate info on it. If any of you know of it and have a URL for it would you be kind enough to...
Tried two different HDs but not the cables. I will give that a try as well.
I had thought about the bios as there is an update to it. If I can get it running long enough to flash it I will.
I don't have any USB devices plugged in. However I am running through a KVM switch, not sure if...
Hi everyone!
I am in search of some thoughts and opinions here. Recently I acquired a PC from a friend whom just bought a new computer (and I think they got screwed, but thats another thread!) from a local PC shop. Their old (my new) PC Has a Gigabyte 7ZMMH motherboard, 128MB Ram, CDRom...
Good day everyone,
I am stumped. I'm trying to create a test script (in VBS) to run through a website using Internet Explorer. I have been able to figure out how to have the script launch IE and go to the desired site. I would really appriciate it if someone could assist me in creating...
Ok, I tried the script Paithar posted and it opened up Windows Explorer. While fiddling with it I remembered if I just use the "Start" command from a prompt it should open whatever I need it to. So I did the following
c:\> start iexplore.exe
which opened up Internet Explorer! (Yea for...
Excellent suggestion however thats one of the problems I'm running into. It works as long as "everyone's" start menu is the same. In other words, you know how in XP you can have the "pretty" start menu? If they have that, then it doesn't work. I was thinking there was a command or a key stroke...
I have an odd question,
I'm trying to create test scripts and I need to be able to launch or open Internet Explorer without using the start menu, clicking on the icon, ect. because I will be performing the test on several different machines that are set up differently (which includes the start...
The issue seems to be with the RAM.
I ran Memtest86 like you suggested and it found 48 errors on the first pass. It would also find the same errors on multiple passes. Now to determine if it's the stick itself or the bus. I'll swap the stick over to the second bus and rerun Memtest again...
Well I had left the PC running all day just to see if it would crash and it was still on when I got home! So I removed the side panel and began to observe the fans (CPU and PSU) Both were operating just fine and there didn't seem to be any excessive heat coming from inside the box once I opened...
