    Microsoft Security Essentials Final coming out tomorrow

    It doesn't take up too much space but you should be able to. MSE simply shut off defender for me after it installed. It handles viruses as well as spyware according to vista's security center so defender is kinda useless at this point.

    An independent anti virus site has rated MSE favorably compared to Avast. MSE was in the 2nd tier of anti viruses while Avast was in the 3rd, same group as AVG.
