    MCE2005 went blank

Muhahahaha....classic one for us tech guys! :D I had a similar problem a while ago on my main machine and it turned out to be the same thing...an unseated card. :( Oh well, glad to hear it's all good now. Enjoy MCE :D

    MCE2005 went blank

Agreed. Try to get the latest MCE drivers from your video card chipset maker. ATI especially has released a new version not long ago that fixes a few bugs. Cheers

    16:9 Question

There is 3 zoom mode in MCE... normal 16:9/ 2:1 zoom/ 16:9->4:3 conversion. You shouldn't have to use the zoom fuction with a proper 16:9 TV or projector. EDIT: It WILL put black bars on the sides of your screen if you watch a 4:3 program. Hope this helps

Radeon 9800pro to HDTV, which method?

if you get a quality cable, the DVI->Component route will give as good a picture as straight DVI, up to 1080i. Try to find someone you can borrow an adapter from to see if it does solve your problem.

    should I get windows MCE?

Just grab the model number of you TV and head on to AVS Forums Do a Search with your model number and their is got to be someone there with your TV settings. If not, ask there as you will get a answer from the experts  For a free front end, look into Media Portal or XLobby MCE...

What do you guys use for video decoder?

If you're running MCE you have two choices really: if your graphics card is ATI, use PowerDVD 6. if NVIDIA, use the NVIDIA Decoder :D Trust me, I've tried about 6 different codecs on 4 different cards (2 ATI, 2 NVIDIA) and that's what I came to conclude. Cheers :D

    Buying THE BEST TV tuner

You'll only be using the hardware decoder to the full extent if you use MCE + Nvidia DVD Decoder. The MyHD card do not have support in MCE. The 6600GT is a very good choice if you have a large'ish screen :p

    Problem with MCE remote

take the batteries out...and short the two top connectors together with a paperclip for about 5 sec. Replace batteries and it should work. I have to do that nearly every fortnight depending on how many times my guests drop the remote :(
