Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
As for stability, i' m on GA-X38-DQ6 with an AC7pro on a Q6600 at 3.4Ghz, and 2x2GB DDR2 at 1066 2.1v, stable as a rock, and very cool. The only thing that sucks is Giga-byte's Web site.
Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6, excellent board, i have it for 2 weeks and couldn't be happier. The only one with two 1394 backplate ports (4 pin and six pin). And 4 esata ports with power, on 2 included brackets.
No such animal.
You need a reason to choose one mobo over another.
I chose the Gigabyte GA-x38-DQ6 because it has 2 1394 ports, and the x38 chipset.
Great mobo.
I' m trying to locate the COM and Firewire PCI brackets-cables for the Mainboard headers. I need 1 Serial (COM) and 1 more firewire on the back PCI plate, without using any PCI slots. Are these genetic items? Gigabyte lists them as accessories, but i think they fit other boards with those headers.
