Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The Transcend chips are a toss up it seems whether you get a working one or not. I ordered my memory straight from crucial. Recieved it the next day and ran memtest for 11hrs or so with no errors. Quality ram it is. Cost a bit more but less headachs in the end.
Yeah our dell XPS2's seem to really not mind OC'ing and getting really high benchmarks. I have left mine stock and i get between 5200-5300 but with the Vid cards bios flashed they can get nuts.
I recently ordered and recieved mine from Crucial and it's been great 2gb on my laptop and I memtested it for 11 or so hours and not one error. I hear the Transend stuff is a gamble and I think you want the ones with the Micron made chips. I have the url to that thread...
I own an xps2 and alot of the dell drivers on their website are good. If you want updated video drivers go to http://laptopvideo2go.com/.
For more information about your computer I recommend going to http://www.notebookforums.com they have a sub forum dedicated to Dell and a sub forum of that...
So I've just ordered a dell 9200 and I'm trying to figure out how to get the shipping status/order status thing to work.
