Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
After running about 8 hours the memory test has no errors. This seems very odd to me. It is always right before the install GUI comes up. And yes I can startup any other guests without issue.
yeah, the whole host disconnects from vcenter and then reboots a couple minutes later. I'll run a memory check on it but I've loaded it up with a buch of other machines with no issues. It is very weird. It's right before the windows installer loads the gui that it disconnects and then reboots.
I have a ESXi 4.1 host that crashes everytime I try installing a Win7 x64 or Server 2008 R2 guest. I have plenty of other guests running with no problem (32bit and 64bit) Has anyone heard of this? It's just a home test lab box. Core i3, 16GB ram, local sata HD. Thanks for any suggestions!
Just for a comparison I can record 4 OTA HD streams from 2 HDhomerun boxes while watching 1 recorded HD stream and my CPU never goes over 30%. This is on a original 1.86GHz Core 2 chip. The recording doesn't really seam to take much CPU. This is with VMC though and I haven't tried BeyondTV for...
Have you thought about windows home server? It may be a good solution for you. It doesn't use raid, you just select which shares are "duplicated" across multiple drives. I think you can get a free 3 month trial from microsoft right now. Check the hot deals free section.
