I'm posting on my brand new MacBook 2.0Ghz White... No heat random heat problems (Its hot right now because I just formatted and reinstalled OSX without language packs and a bunch of other stuff), build quality is fine and the LCD shows no defects. I'm enjoying this notebook a lot.

    Professional Installation needed for PS3

I doubt Sony would implement something that intrusive in what is considered one of their biggest and most anticipated products in a while. And also whoever takes Tom seriously needs to lay off the pipe... that guy has been a nutter for a long time. I don't waste my time heading over to his...

    Is iTunes a resource hog?

iTunes sucks balls on either of my machines... Windows mind you. It either hogs up RAM or takes a few seconds to respond when switching to playlists or just is slow as shit. I went back to Winamp... sorry Apple. I'm waiting for an iTunes skin for Winamp that completely emulates iTunes.

    Dell Dimension XPS 400 Evaluation @ [H]

As someone who strongly supports smaller brands (Asus Notebooks for example) and encourages people to buy from a Mom and Pop Store I find this article amusing. I have so many friends and family who hate their Dells and HPs. They pay a fair amount of money for a mediocre system and its filled...

14/14.1 or 15/15.4 inch screen for a PROGRAMMER STUDENT

Portability is key... weight, heat and battery life. Around campus in cafs, coffee shops, cubicles, couches and in class are where a notebook gets used. IMHO I would recommend an Asus machine. I spent a fair bit of coin on my V6V but I'm a stout believer in what I bought. An Asus W5A may...
