hey guys,
i got a tiny problem. when i first bought the parts for SB i envisioned using the onboard to drive my TV as a 2nd monitor to watch 1080p movies on, and using my dedicated to game at the same time without losing performance.
however the motherboard i have, a P8Z68-V is limited to...
just found out that i have a 125w model, everything but amd's site says it 125w for some reason, but several review sites point out my part number is 125w.
still nix it?
Last week i saw a local sale on craigslist for some computer parts, i thought it was a really good deal so i decided to pick it up...it included a phenom 9950, m3a32-mvp deluxe, and 4gb of ddr2-1066 for $125
i thought to myself, hey why not, i could always use another backup computer
i did...
thats kinda depressing
so 22nm processors will only be ivy bridge
since thats settled, next question
will x68/x78 provide us with native usb 3.0 and sata 6.0gbs?
i think i'll have to skip, gonna wait on 2011 and see what that brings to the table. I don't think SB would bring me much improvement since i run my 920 @ 3.8 anyway
i went from a E6600 to Q6600, although i sold the Q6600 a week after since the i7 was just a month away.
I ended up getting the 920 a week before launch, and have been running it at 3.8GHz every since, i do have the upgrade bug, but i dont think its worth it...at least not until LGA 2011
