Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I think HardOCP is a top-notch review site with devoted people for a backbone.
In terms of reviews, you attack the problem at the source: what can I do with "x" hardware. I think the "best-playable setting" concept is the most indicative as to what you can expect out of a new video card, CPU...

I was checking out the various reviews of the X800XL and I'm still puzzled by two new connectors:
If you look at the pictures of the ATI cards found in the review above, there are two connectors that are unused:
- The yellow connector beside the...
Northbridge: the microprocessor (typically found nearest to the CPU) that acts as the link to RAM (called a memory interface), to the CPU, the AGP Tunnel and to the Southbridge.
Note: AMDs K8 has the memory controller on the CPU. This means that there is no memory controller on the NB, only...
oh my god
We have nearly the same systems! Some of the only differences is the voltage needed and the fans. I use SilenX fans. None others in existance can beat that sort of moderate airflow and utter silence. I was looking at the SI-97, maybe it would be a good buy.
That is...
I have my RAM set to 2-2-2-10 @ 2.65v, and it passed three tests with no errors before I had to stop it to do some homework.
How long should I let it run?
Benny, that's a nice looking board.
As a matter of fact, VIA chipsets have impressed so far when put head to head with the NF3. The K8T890 doesn't look too bad, especially if it has locked clocks for the PCIe/PCI buses. And I'd bet that it's a lot cheaper than the NF4... I guess I'll have to...
Thermalright XP-120 if it fits. Uses 120MM and 92MM fans. Mind you, the whole point of having the XP-120 is to use the 120MM fan...
Thermal XP-90 will fit all K8 boards, uses 90MM and 80MM fans.
Hi,
I currently have the Enermax Noisetaker 470W. One feature is that it has a seperate cable for the video card.
My questions are:
- Is there going to be a 4pin to 6pin converter? I know there are those that will use two molexes to make one 6pin connector, but what about just one molex...

Download CPU-Z and you'll be able to check out your timings. If they're not set properly, go change the values in your BIOS. As far as I know though, they're supposed to change on their own.
I own the Z-5300e set of speakers coupled with an Audigy 2 ZS. The sound is amazingly clear. Great set. I can really make the house shake.
I think the difference between them is the color of the faceplate and different colored plastic. The Es are black and silver where as I think the non-E...
