New casemod, first time water cooling.

Since it is obvious you're new to all the watercooling, my suggestion to you is that you read alot about it. Read some tutorials, browse through the forums of the sites I will give you through. To answer your questions, yes you can oc a x800. And yes it will bring you very noticeable results...

    Apple gets wet

Well that's just the strategy of apple, making something fancy and very attractive that people can show off with. And people prepared to spend 3000$ on such a system DO want to have complete silence at this speed.

226W Pelt - Custom DD Kit problems

I agree with zer0signal667. If the loop is no problem, then the ps could be it. Check with volt and amp meter. You should at least get half a centimeter of frost on that stuff without load! If that doesn't cut it, resolder the wires untill inside the pelt how I did it. You'll have to scrape...

North bridge cooler for Abit NF-S V2

Very nice, weapon. I'm building something similar to this with an old dangerden chipset cooler of 2 generations back. Transforming it into a pelt cooler. Luckily my brother now works in a technical school wich facilitates the build of my pelt wb.

226W Pelt - Custom DD Kit problems

Sounds like your setup can't cool the pelt because you don't even get frost as I understood. With 226W you should get -35° C without load. Did you put thermal paste on both sides of the pelt? Check if water can flow freely through your loop. The cables of the pelt shouldn't feel warm, it's...
