XBOX lays off 1,600 - Resetting XBOX

I don't see how Microsoft ever gets rid of this sclerotic encrustation of excessive layers of management, but things won't get better until they do. It's just crazy.

Playstation single player games will no longer be ported to PC

At this point it should be absolutely clear that they don't. Not that they're alone in this.

Playstation single player games will no longer be ported to PC

I paid $60 for this in January and it's fast enough to play some games off of. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C36CXVP4?th=1

[XDA] Someone made an E-ink Gameboy

I saw a few articles about eink refresh rates recently; apparently the OEM drivers are just unoptimized garbage, just performant enough to be used as a label in a store. But it seems like you can do a lot better, apparently, if you are the kind of person who understands voltage waveforms and stuff.

    [Poll] Steam Machine 2026 = Build / Buy / Pass + SURVEY

This is a first-rate first-world problem, like the one I had last year where I got an Amazon notification that my shipment would arrive early, but then it didn't arrive as early as they said, but still earlier than the original date.

    [Poll] Steam Machine 2026 = Build / Buy / Pass + SURVEY

I've mentioned this on other threads, but: I bought a Minisforum NUC a few months ago. It has an OCuLink port. Last month I got a eGPU dock, dropped an old RX6800 in it, and used it for AI inferencing. It ran pretty well, and it's quiet. It also games at about 90-95% the speed the 6800...

I've been using my Air75v2 as my daily driver for, I dunno, a couple of years now, it feels like. What's TMR?

Valve Steam Machine, SteamOS Desktop, Steam Frame VR and Steam Controller

That's a pretty clever name, too. Not that I need *another* PC (especially since I just got an eGPU added to my Ryzen 255 mini PC), but who's Meta PCs? Never heard of them before.

Valve Steam Machine, SteamOS Desktop, Steam Frame VR and Steam Controller

I guess I should've known not to skip saying I was addressing that to Valve, not anyone on this forum. :)

Gaming PC saves owner from bullet fired by neighbor's dog

It could have been, but that's not the way to bet. Since you know about the P320, I'm sure you're aware of that. :) From Reddit: "she put gun somewhere dog can reach. and gun safety was off." No. Dogs don't have thumbs. Now, the techspot article mentions an incident with a shotgun laying...

Gaming PC saves owner from bullet fired by neighbor's dog

It's absolutely an ND. In theory it would technically--barely--be possible if the gun were positioned just right so the dog could step on the trigger. Less unlikely is if it were somewhere the dog, being a dog (that is, a lovable-but-clumsy oaf) knocked it over such that it fell on something...
